Transition Services for Students with Learning Disabilities That Meet Indicator 14

Learn how to provide transition services for students with learning disabilities, no matter your role.  Students with low incidence disabilities are not the only ones for whom we are responsible for transition services.  In fact the other 98% of students in special education have the greatest impact on Indicator 14. Participants will be able to determine which transition assessments to give, and how to connect students to employment and postsecondary education. Participants will learn the ins and outs of college/university disability services and how to use the Texas WorkSource, businesses, unions, the Chamber of Commerce, and other support systems to close the gap in transition services and Indicator 14 for this student population. Session materials and costs are partially funded through state and federal programs.
