Title III: Bilingual Supplemental Cohort



This professional development opportunity is designed to assist Title III-funded LEAs in building the capacity of certified teachers who are not required by the state to be certified as a bilingual teacher. The course will assist teachers in preparing for the Bilingual TExES #164 exam as well as provide essential information for understanding how to facilitate and differentiate instruction for bilingual learners. This course covers the history, laws, research, methodology, strategies, rational, and varied bilingual programs. Teachers who complete this course will receive on-going support through email, online, and face-to-face training opportunities. This Title III professional development (PD) and appropriate support activities is for teachers who are not required by the state to be bilingual certified, but whose students would benefit from teachers obtaining this certification.
