Equitable Student Codes of Conduct

Student codes of conduct drive educators’ use of disciplinary strategies, have the potential to reduce explicit bias in the discipline process, and improve equity in discipline outcomes. This six-hour workshop will identify strategies for developing culturally responsive codes of conduct that support the use of restorative discipline and Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS). Participants are encouraged to bring a copy of their district or school code of conduct and a laptop.
