Building on the Foundations for Addressing Swallowing and Feeding Successfully in the School Setting





Addressing swallowing and feeding in the school setting comes with many obstacles and barriers. This presentation will discuss the foundations for addressing swallowing and feeding and will provide solutions for the most common barriers. Attendees will learn the importance of understanding why school districts must address the disorders and how they can best serve these students utilizing a comprehensive, time-tested, district-approved team procedure that establishes and maintains safe and efficient feeding at school for students with dysphagia and feeding disorders.

TSHA CE hours will be available for SLPs and SLP assistants that sign in before the speaker begins and stay for the entire session. Partial credit will not be available. This session is partially funded through state and federal grants. PLEASE NOTE THIS SESSION WILL TAKE PLACE IN FRIENDSWOOD ISD.
