Show Me How - Elementary





Empower teachers to use mentor texts to teach strategies and skills that students apply in their reading and writing of expository texts. Teachers will engage in lessons that follow the gradual release of responsibility framework that ties reading and writing in a workshop environment. The final result will be an independently written expository piece. Participants will receive the Region 4 product, Show Me How, showcasing 40 lessons to use with their students in their own unit on expository reading and writing.
