Guided Reading #5: Implementing Small Group Instruction in the Intermediate Grades

Intermediate readers need specific instruction to become more strategic readers, but often the small group time targets the book rather than the reader. Learn how to focus your guided reading lesson on helping your readers to be more strategic readers. Recordings of a 5th grade small group over three days is included to demonstrate how the small group lesson may change with intermediate students.
