In this lively workshop, Van Cleave uses current research on writing to help participants understand the issues confronting struggling writers. He emphasizes working memory and the number of simultaneous demands the writing process makes on students of all ages. He concludes the presentation with recommendations for assisting students with the various components of writing.

This class will meet over two days: June 2, 12:30 PM - 3:30 PM and June 4, 12:30 PM - 3:30 PM, Central Time. You must attend both sessions to receive credit. Partial credit will not be given.
