Summer Evaluation Institute (SEI) 2020





Attend this two-day institute to acquire the latest information related to comprehensive and integrated evaluations of students, and promote knowledge and application of best practices in the area of student evaluation.  Session and materials costs are partially funded through state or federal grants.

Register before March 15, 2020 and receive a discount on the registration fee.  The early bird registration fee is only $100.  After March 15, 2020, the registration fee will increase to $125.

In light of the continued circumstances surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic and to be respectful of social distancing practices, we moved the Summer Evaluation Institute (SEI) 2020 to a virtual format. NOTE-the keynote and breakout sessions will not be recorded.

Once registered, you will receive an email with an invitation to complete a survey to choose your breakout sessions. Once the survey is completed, you will receive an email with an invitation to register for the webinars via ZOOM.  You must register with ZOOM as well to receive a link to the session webinar. 

This new format has been taken into consideration and breaks have been included to reduce online fatigue and allow you to take care of your self-care and family needs. Therefore, this virtual conference will have:

  • a general, keynote session on Thursday, June 11th beginning at 8:15am and ending at 11:45am with two (2) 15-minute breaks
    •  Presenter: Dr. Andrea Ogonosky, "Culturally Competent Assessment Amid COVID-19"
  • a general, keynote session on Friday, June 12th beginning at 8:15am and ending at 12:00pm with three (3) 15-minute breaks
    • 8:15am-10:00am, Presenter-Paula Maddox Roalson, "Legal Updates Amidst COVID-19"
    • 10:15am-12:00pm, Presenter-Dr. Gail Cheramie, "Selecting Appropriate Evaluation Tools"
  • breakout sessions will occur June 16th-18th and June 23rd-25th beginning at 8:15am and ending at 11:45am with two (2) 15-minute breaks.
