The Science of Teaching Reading Series: Phonological and Phonemic Awareness (Prek-6) (Virtual)

This course explores the concepts, principles, and best practices related to the development of phonological and phonemic awareness. The course content is based on the Texas Science of Teaching Reading Framework, Domain II, Competency 004. This course may be used to further assist participants in preparing for the Science of Teaching Reading certification exam (STR 293), as a supplement to Reading Academies course content, or simply to improve content knowledge in the area of phonological and phonemic awareness.
Important Session Information:
This course explores the importance of phonological and phonemic awareness and its relationship to literacy development.
