School evaluation personnel are tasked with addressing the unique learning needs of students with specific learning disabilities (SLD) and difficulties. Most school personnel struggle to find interventions that meet students’ unique learning needs. This presentation uses actual cognitive and achievement assessment data that were analyzed by X-BASS v2.3 along with additional data sources (routinely gathered during a comprehensive evaluation) to select interventions from the Intervention Library: Finding Interventions and Resources for Students and Teachers (IL:FIRST®). Through the use of a case study, this presentation demonstrates how to move beyond a “one size fits all” approach to intervention/recommendations by using IL:FIRST® to tailor interventions to a student’s unique learning needs.
