This course focuses on the importance of oral language and its relationship to literacy development. The session will explore foundational concepts, instructional practices, assessment strategies, and supporting second language learners.
The class is offered over two days utilizing an asynchronous format. The schedule is as follows:
- September 11th- Self-paced independent learning (2 hours) completed prior to September 15th session
- September 15th- Live virtual session (4 pm-6 pm)
- September 16th - Live virtual session (4 pm-6 pm)
Participants must complete all sessions in order to earn a certificate of completion.
