Webinars for SLPs and other Evaluation Personnel
Doin' the Three-Step: Intentionally Moving Language Forward Through Augmentative Communication: Make a Decision on the Personal System

A series of webinars on various topics to assist SLPs and other evaluation personnel serve students with disabilities.

Important Session Information:

Presenter: Deann O'Lenick, Ph.D., CCC-SLP

Decisions begin by asking good questions. The key question related to determining a personal AAC system is: What is the goal for language using a personal augmentative communication system? Additional questions include: What is the current communication? Who needs to be involved? What needs to be evaluated? How will the evaluation be conducted? Where will the AAC system be supported? Asking valuable questions and analyzing the answers will result in plans that are focused on developing language, in ways that language is developed.

TSHA CE hours will be available for SLPs and SLP assistants that register with Region 4 ESC, register with ZOOM, and attend the entire session to obtain the TSHA code. Partial credit will not be available. The information to access the webinar and handouts will be provided via email approximately 2 days before the session. This session is partially funded through state and federal grants.
