Learn How To Use A Language Sample As An Authentic Assessment Tool (Prerecorded)

A language sample is one of the most significant pieces of data that can be used to determine a student's oral communication strengths and weaknesses. However, collecting and analyzing a language sample can be time intensive and many SLPs don't feel secure enough to depend on an informal language sample to determine a disability condition. This session will help SLPs feel more confident and efficient as they target the steps to completing a language sample and dive into the components including eliciting the sample, recording the utterances, transcribing the utterances, analyzing the errors, and writing the report.
