Region 4 Accountability Series
Understanding Closing the Gaps





The Accountability System is a broad system with many different parts.  The Accountability Series allows participants to focus on a portion of the accountability series.  Sessions will include, but are not limited to: 

  • Updates (Changes and Updates to the Current System)
  • Overview (Overview of Each Domain and Final Grade)
  • Domain I (Elementary/Middle or High School/District)
  • Domain II (Part A and Part B)
  • Domain III (Elementary/Middle or High School/District)
  • College, Career, and Military (CCMR)
  • School Improvement Identification Labels (Comprehensive, Targeted, and Additional Targeted)
  • Assessment and Accountability (How Answer Document Coding Impacts Accountability)
  • Alternative Accountability Education (AEA) Campuses
  • Fall Activities (How Snapshot Impacts Accountability)

The subtitle will include the specific topic that will be covered for the session.

 

 

 

 



Important Session Information:



This session will cover the Closing the Gaps domain.  The 2022 system updates will be provided and the possible updates to 2023 accountability and beyond.  The topics explored will include:

  • Closing the Gaps targets and weights
  • Student groups and minimum size requirements
  • Closing the Gaps components
    • Academic Achievement
    • Academic Growth
    • Federal Graduation
    • College, Career, and Military Readiness
    • English Language Proficiency Status
    • STAAR Component Only
  • Participation Rates

Additional Region 4 Accountability Series sessions are available for deeper dives into the different areas of the accountability system.
