Instructional Methods Part 2: Preview View Review in Dual Language Classrooms Grades K-5 (Virtual)

Participants will explore foundational strategies for the dual language classroom. This session is designed to provide dual language teachers the instructional tools needed to effectively support the biliteracy development of Emergent Bilingual students in dual language classrooms that have Spanish and English as the target languages. This training will focus on planning with strategic use of the partner language to make content comprehensible by using Preview-View-Review (PVR) in order to maximize students' biliteracy trajectory and increase growth in students’ academic language proficiency and comprehension. Participants will be able to learn and apply the evidence-based strategies to maximize student achievement.
