Writing the Exemplar: Preparing Teachers to Effectively Monitor Student Work

This session provides instructional leaders with an overview of how to unpack a TEKS (into knowledge and skills) and then create an exemplar for a student work product that encompasses all of the knowledge and skills that would need to be present in order for a student to demonstrate mastery.  This process can be replicated in PLCs with teachers, and will set teachers up to effectively monitor student work and give students immediate feedback.
