The USDA Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) provides an alternative to collecting household applications to determine eligibility for the National School Lunch Program (NSLP).

This session will provide participants will an overview of CEP and explain:

  • the benefits of adopting CEP to students, parents, and schools,
  • how to identify eligible students, how to calculate Identified Student Percentages (ISP) and how to group sites,
  • the requirements of annual CEP reporting,
  • how adopting CEP impacts other programs.
