Using High-Leverage Practices to Increase Academic Engagement of Diverse Learners





Is your classroom full of variability with diverse students who need differentiated supports? Then this session is for you! Participants will explore instructional High-leverage practices that enrich Tier 1 instruction including explicit instruction, providing scaffolds, teaching cognitive and metacognitive strategies, and opportunities to respond.  High-leverage practices support diverse learners by increasing student engagement, reducing classroom disruptions, and helping students become more committed to their own learning process. Participants will leave with strategies to implement immediately in the classroom to support all learners.
