Beginning with the 2016-17 school year, T-TESS replaces PDAS as the Texas Education Agency's statewide provided option for teacher evaluation.
Completion of this 3 day training is one of the required steps to becoming a certified appraiser. During this training, participants will set a log-in and password to take an online certification test on their own. Participants must take and pass an online certification test annually.
Additionally, participants must also attend/have attended either Instructional Leadership Development (ILD) or the new Advancing Educational Leadership (AEL) training in order to complete the required steps of becoming a certified appraiser and are encouraged to verify this information with their districts.
PLEASE NOTE:
This is a 3 day session from 8:00-5:00 each day. Attendance at all 3 days consecutively is required. Participants are kindly requested to make arrangements in their schedule to attend the training in its entirety. Partial attendance of sessions does not satisfy this requirement.
