PBIS creates a positive, proactive, safe, and equitable school environment that supports students’ behavioral, academic, social, emotional, and mental health needs. Research shows that students with disabilities who are educated in schools implementing PBIS with fidelity have improved social-emotional-behavioral outcomes and decreased rates of exclusionary discipline. Join us to learn, discuss, and problem-solve ways to ensure your classroom PBIS practices support all students. In this workshop, we will explore the key elements of class-wide PBIS and discuss what those elements look like across the tiers. We will also highlight several of CEC’s high leverage practices and how they can be used when supporting students with and without disabilities in our classrooms.
