Secondary Emergent Bilingual Writing Practices and Strategies (English I & II)





Participants will identify language complexity within state assessments and the implications these have in relation to emergent bilingual students' academic achievement. Additionally, we will explore and reflect on high leverage writing practices that increase linguistic support during writing instruction.

Note: This session addresses STAAR EOC and TELPAS writing and aligns to RDA BE/ESL/EB indicators 7 and 9.
