In this informative session, participants will learn which student data sources to collect to comprehensively describe the specific strengths and needs of students with dyslexia for the development of the present levels of academic achievement and functional performance (PLAAFP) statement, which forms the foundation for the IEP. Participants will also uncover the process of crafting meaningful, measurable, and attainable annual academic goals aligned to the baseline data in the PLAAFP for students with dyslexia and discover strategies for designing effective data collection systems to monitor a student's progress toward their IEP goals.
This session will provide valuable insights for providers of dyslexia instruction and special education professionals who work with students with dyslexia.
By the end of this workshop, participants will be better equipped to navigate the SB IEP process, leading to more personalized and effective individualized educational programs for students with dyslexia.
Session and materials costs are partially funded through state and federal grants.
Participants must have completed the Standards-Based Individualized Education Program (IEP) Process Training [TEALearn course or 2-day F2F or virtual training from an ESC] prior to attending this session.
