Microlearning: Explicitly Teaching Decoding





To read, students must blend sounds together to decode words, but often instruction in the process isn’t explicitly taught. In this microlearning session you will learn the WHAT, WHY, and HOW of the different approaches to teaching students to decode words. Microlearning sessions are short (less than 30 minutes) training sessions related to reading and writing instruction. Choose from a variety of topics to acquire a new teaching practice or skill to support your learners. Each session includes video support and handouts to make it easier to implement the new skill immediately.
