Personalized Instruction is Course 2 in a series of 5 micro-courses on the implementing blended learning. This course assumes you have already taken our introduction to blended learning course "Foundations of Blended Learning : Packing for the Journey". In it, we introduced the blended learning framework as well as explored the various classroom models for setting up blended learning in your classroom. If you've missed Foundations of Blended Learning: Packing for the Journey you can find it on our Events page. This micro-course builds on that work by solely focusing on Pillar 2 of the Blended Learning implementation continuum -Personalized Instruction.
In this course, we will address the following 5 learning objectives:
(1) Explore the research connected to personalized instruction.
(2) See personalized instruction strategies in action to deepen understanding of the ways in which the elements of the student experience can be personalized.
(3) Identify incremental actions to move along the personalized instruction continuum.
(4) Come to a shared understanding of which elements of the student experience to personalize.
(5) Clarify the ways in which the elements of the student experience will be further personalized and identify specific next steps for classroom level or campus iteration.
