Welcome to Course 5 in a series of 5 micro-courses on the blended learning implementation continuum. This course assumes you have already taken our introduction to blended learning course "Blended Learning Roadmapping". In it, we introduced the blended learning framework as well as explored the various classroom models for setting up blended learning in your classroom. This micro-course builds on that work by solely focusing on Pillar 5 of the blended learning continuum -Rigor.
Course Objectives
Participants will take a deep dive into "Rigor," a core pillar of the RBL Implementation Continuum. The learning experience will focus on the following objectives:
Explore research and dispel entrenched myths and mindsets regarding rigor.
Increase understanding of the rigor strategies in the RBL IC.
Strengthen ability to recognize and build a rigorous, scaffolded lesson for grade level standards.
Consider refinements we can make to ensure all students have access to rigorous academic work that is grade-level, college-ready or student appropriate.
Reflect on strategies for building a “belonging” classroom culture.
