Unlicensed Diabetes Care Assistants (UDCA) Training

This workshop provides training for Unlicensed Diabetes Care Assistants (UDCAs) according to requirements of HB984. Participants will receive hands-on training and testing of required knowledge and skills.

Important Session Information:

House Bill (HB) 984 (79th Legislature) Requires designated school personnel to be trained on diabetes and its management to include hyperglycemia and hypoglycemia and more as Unlicensed Diabetic care Assistants.

This in-person session will include skills practice, but each U.D.C.A. should have student specific skills checked by the district/campus Registered Nurse.
