AS+K About Suicide to Save a Life

Participants will learn basic suicide intervention skills including: being able to recognize suicide related communications; understanding more about underlying risk factors, protective factors, and acute warning signs versus chronic warning signs; having the confidence to respond and ask questions about suicide; becoming familiar with the process and steps to seek more information about suicide; and identifying key referral mechanisms available in the local community.
