Using Literacy Connections to Develop Mathematical Concepts in Early Childhood





Spark curiosity and wonder in your classroom by using books, songs, and finger plays to bring literacy and math skills to life. By connecting these skills to student imagination, as well as, real life scenarios in dramatic play, blocks, and literacy centers, students can make sense of the mathematical skills of numeracy and problem solving while developing oral language and early literacy skills.

Participants will leave this session equipped with ready to implement strategies and activities to partner math with literacy aligned to the 2022 Texas Prekindergarten Guidelines.
