The state requires each school district to accurately and permanently maintain the Academic Achievement Record (AAR) for every student enrolled and these transcript forms include required content. This document (AAR/transcript) serves as the academic record for each student and all entries on the AAR must match teachers’ records and, when applicable, the student’s Individualized Education program (IEP).
The purpose of this workshop is to guide personnel in the following actions:
- Becoming knowledgeable about what information is included on a student’s Academic Achievement Record (AAR).
- Learning how to review student Academic Achievement Records (AAR), including how to understand and evaluate credits.
- Reviewing the requirements for the proper maintenance of student Academic Achievement Records (AAR).
- Developing processes for both annual and peer reviews of student achievement records.
