2024-2025 Rookie SPED Series

This 3-part series is designed for 1st, 2nd, or 3rd year SpEd Teachers.

Day 1- PLAAFP/IEP Development and Specially Designed Instruction: Writing well-developed PLAAFPs and IEPs, while incorporating Specially Designed Instruction, is a huge task, even for the most experienced special education teachers. Come learn "all the things" with us on Day 1. You won't want to miss this informative day to get you out of the dugout and onto the field!

Day 2-Accommodations, Modifications, and Supporting Behavioral Needs: Come on back for Day 2 of the Rookie SpEd Series as we take the mound, learning the importance of accommodations and modifications and proper implementation. Also, it's that time of year when you might be seeing student behaviors move from the minor to major leagues. We've got you covered with behavior supports and classroom management tools.

Day 3: IEP Data Collection/Progress Monitoring and Leading Paraprofessionals: On Day 3 of the Rookie SpEd Series, during the seventh-inning stretch you will learn how to effectively monitor IEP goals, collect data, and report progress correctly. We will finish out the series with ways you can guide paraprofessionals effectively.
