2024-2025 Rookie SPED Series

This 3-part series is designed for 1st, 2nd, or 3rd year SpEd Teachers.

Day 1- PLAAFP/IEP Development and Specially Designed Instruction: Writing well-developed PLAAFPs and IEPs, while incorporating Specially Designed Instruction, is a huge task, even for the most experienced special education teachers. Come learn "all the things" with us on Day 1. You won't want to miss this informative day to get you out of the dugout and onto the field!

Day 2 - Accommodations and Modifications, Specially Designed Instruction, and IEP Data Collection/Progress Monitoring: Come on back for Day 2 of the Rookie SpEd Series as we take the mound, learning the importance of accommodations and modifications and proper implementation. Let's take a look at the specially designed instruction required for students with disabilities. We will also drive home the basics of IEP goal data collection and progress monitoring.

Day 3: Supporting Behavioral Needs, Leading Paraprofessionals, and Staying Organized: It's that time of year when you might be seeing student behaviors move from the minor to major leagues. We've got you covered with behavior supports and classroom management tools. During the seventh-inning stretch you will learn how to effectively guide and support paraprofessionals. We will look ahead to the ninth inning and learn how to stay organized as your year winds down.
