Connect & Communicate: Multi-Sensory Literacy & AAC




All students have a right to connect to literacy in a meaningful way, but oftentimes, students with Autism and Complex Communication Needs may require alternative ways to access printed materials to promote greater levels of engagement & support communication. In this session, we will cover strategies that engage multiple senses to enhance reading and writing skills. From tactile experiences to auditory stimuli, participants will gain practical insights into making literacy truly multi-dimensional, and most importantly fun, for students with Autism and Complex Communication Needs. We hope you'll join us as we learn how to make literacy accessible by engaging the senses and using AAC to facilitate effective communication with your students.

This course will be offered online. The session is pre-recorded. Participants will have one week to view the session and complete a follow up activity. The link will be sent out on December 16th.
