Connecting The Dots: Teaching US History in 6th and 7th Grade Social Studies




What can you do to better prepare students for the 8th Grade US History STAAR exam?

By examining the alignment of TEKS between 6th, 7th, and 8th Grade Social Studies, this workshop will help you connect 6th Grade Social Studies and Texas History to US History. Teachers will design ways to connect themes and integrate US History content into their own courses, while also gaining understanding of how to incorporate process skills needed to excel on the STAAR exam.
