Dysgraphia: Assessment and Intervention

Join us for an informative and insightful session to explore the best practices for identifying dysgraphia within a Full Individual and Initial Evaluation (FIIE) context. Dysgraphia, a learning disability that affects a person's ability to write, can often be challenging to detect accurately. This session is designed for educational diagnosticians and school psychologists involved in assessing and supporting students with dysgraphia. Participants will gain a deep understanding of dysgraphia, the nuances of identifying it within an FIIE, and practical strategies to support students effectively. This session is aligned with the child find and evaluation components of the TEA-required self-assessment.

Develop expertise in recognizing the signs and characteristics of dysgraphia within the context of a Full Individual and Initial Evaluation (FIIE). Learn and apply best practices and effective assessment tools specifically tailored for identifying dysgraphia accurately in students. Acquire practical strategies to support students diagnosed with dysgraphia, ensuring they receive appropriate interventions and accommodations.
