English III End-of-Course Success

In this two-day professional development session, participants will explore instructional strategies focused on preparing students for success in high school English courses. The session will specifically address English III but will also include a brief overview of the structure of the STAAR English I, II, and III End-of-Course assessments that emphasizes the relationships among standards, instruction, and assessment. Participants will practice reading strategies designed to deepen understanding of text and learn strategies for crafting written responses. The session will also include access to online resources and tools for teaching using Project Share, the statewide online interactive platform.
