Personal Finance: Content, Teaching Strategies, and Lesson Plans

A new social studies course in Personal Financial Literacy; CTE Courses in Financial Mathematics, Money Matters, and Dollars and Sense; and the personal finance component of high school economics all have financial content in common. In addition to achieving a comfort level with teaching the concepts, teachers will leave with activity and project-based lessons plans as well as knowledge of acceptable online resources for teaching earning, budgeting, saving, investing, credit and borrowing, car and home ownership, and insurance.
