Addressing Substance Abuse in Secondary Schools
Share
Researchers have found evidence that early drug and alcohol use is associated with lower levels of educational attainment. Substance abuse is also associated with drop out rates, absenteeism, and school discipline issues. In addition, youth gangs, drug trafficking, prostitution, youth homicides, and other related social and criminal justice problems are often linked to adolescent substance abuse. Participants in this workshop will learn both substance abuse prevention and substance abuse intervention strategies.
