Lead4ward Leadership Series: Day 3-Evidence of Learning: Expanding Assessment




Audience: For leadership teams (principals and teacher leaders) Whether it is a teacher-created test, district benchmark, classroom project, or informal check for understanding, teachers use assessments to determine success in learning. In this class, learn ways to use evidence of learning to inform instruction, help students learn from their mistakes, rethink the design of tests, and explore ways PLCs can use evidence other than tests to evaluate progress. What you will learn: •Use multiple measures to gauge learning •Create structures for the PLC to collect and evaluate evidence of learning •Use strategies for maximizing the instructional value of tests •Collect and evaluate evidence of learning other than tests •Explain ways to check for understanding
