Social Studies Essentials for New Teachers




This workshop will provide teachers new to the Social Studies an overview of course expectations. We will analyze the TEKS for your grade level, examine the focus for teaching each era, and develop a scope for the year. In the afternoon, we will practice strategies that lend themselves to social studies classes.

For districts participating in the Instructional Support, Title II, contracts there will be no charge, the charge will be removed at checkout. CSF 1, 2, 5, 7 will be addressed.
