lead4ward Reading and Writing Academy (Gr 6-12)




The goal of the lead4ward Reading and Writing Academy is to provide a learning and support system for educators with face-to-face professional development and virtual support throughout a yearlong service meeting face to face at the ESC a total of 5 days. Participants will synthesize, adapt, and transfer current and new learning to provide effective reading/writing instruction, practice, and assessment. Following a learn, practice and reflect model, academy members will leave with the confidence and competence to set in motion relevant change to promote students as lifelong readers, writers, and learners. This is a cost recovery session. Due to fiscal year, the summer session cost of $240 will be billed at the end of July. The additional fee of $960 will billed upon the completion of the full academy. Participants registered for this session will automatically be registered for the rest of the academy dates including: Oct. 18, Dec. 13, Feb. 27, March 28. Total CPE hours are 30.
