Trainings: Session Detail

We need to Move it! Move It! Moving and Learning in Middle School Math

This session takes Middle School math concepts and blends it with motions and movements. Brain breaks are great but we can do more! We will race to achievement by moving and learning simultaneously. Why ignore motion when it comes to learning? The brain benefits from aerobic activity. There is a brain- body connection that is often ignored in our classroom. Learning doesn’t occur from the neck up but from the feet up! From gestures to modeling with movement, this session will give ideas to get your students up, moving, growing dendrites, and LEARNING…and maybe having a little fun. Dress appropriately for moving. CSF: 1, 2, & 3
