The Fundamentals of Welding and Industrial Certification

This three-day workshop will provide a basic overview of stick welding, TIG, MIG, Flux Core, and Thermal cutting. There will also be a review of the American Welding Society (AWS) structural and sheet metal welding codes regarding weld inspection and the qualification of welders. Participants will also learn how to initiate a student welder qualification and certification program in his/her school. This workshop will also provide a path for attending instructors to obtain certification to AWS and American Society for Non-destructive testing standards for welders and welding inspectors. Richard DePue will be leading this workshop. Mr. DePue has over 32 years of experience in welding, education and inspection.
