Trainings: Session Detail

Stop the Bleed Trainer of Trainers

Participants will fulfill the requirement in the Texas Education Code (TEC), ยง38.030, as added by House Bill (HB) 496, 86th Texas Legislature, for each school district and open-enrollment charter school to receive instruction on the use of a bleeding control station. This training is one of the two Texas Education Agency (TEA) approved trainings for the use of a bleeding control station. By attending, participants will become Stop the Bleed trainers. The Panhandle Regional Advisory Council (RAC) plan to provide 2 Stop the Bleed kits per campus for districts in the Region 16 service area, except those in Potter and Randall counties. (The Amarillo Fire Department provides the instruction and Stop the Bleed Kits for districts in Potter and Randall.) Campuses will need to provide the chest seals and space emergency blankets.
