Special Education Fiscal Support Webinar




Education Service Center, Region 20 (ESC-20) will begin seeking applications from Local Education Agencies (LEAs) for participation in Special Education Fiscal Support funding offered in collaboration with the Texas Education Agency. As a direct result of Senate Bill 500, Special Education Fiscal Support aims to provide additional funding through a reimbursement system for eligible LEAs to secure evaluation staff, related services personnel, and/or special education teachers to fill short-term needs in the areas of initial evaluations, compensatory services and extended school year services (ESY). There will be two opportunities for LEAs to apply for reimbursement funding: February 1-21, 2020 and a second round beginning September 1, 2020.
