(GT Update) Making the Invisible Visible: The Power of Writing Think-Alouds (K-3)
Share
Metacognition is a powerful tool we use as writers. It’s not something that we can see...but what if we can make it visible for our students? For most students, writing is one of the hardest, if not the hardest skill they will ever be asked to do! Allowing them to hear the thinking process/es that authors have, simplifies this challenging skill and creates more confidence in our students. Join us for this course as a follow up for Think-Alouds 101! We will learn how to not only model thinking for students, but also provide opportunities for students to share their thinking as well! The learning from this session will be implemented into the shared writing component of a balanced literacy framework. ***BEFORE REGISTERING FOR THIS SESSION, YOU MUST COMPLETE THINK ALOUD 101 TRAINING (session #754645). Please e-mail me (joi.lunsford@esc16.net) with any questions/concerns. ***This session will run as a 1-week self-paced virtual session. You can take as many virtual courses as you would like during this window.
