Top Ten (English Learner) Topics for Administrators - Virtual Edition - Session 1




This administrator-only training will include the latest information related to services for ELs. These meetings are designed for superintendents, district administrators and campus administrators, and do NOT replace annual required LPAC Framework training. Topics will include: 1) COVID Guidance related to ELs 2) Bilingual/ESL program model descriptions and certification requirements 3) Changes to the identification/reclassification process for ELs 4) Assessment updates - STAAR, TELPAS, and TELPAS Alt 5) Recommendations related to Sheltered Instruction in different settings 6) Title III requirements 7) Time for Q&A Meeting time: September 10th - 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.
