Reading, Writing, and....Social Studies?
Share
The 3 R’s--reading, writing, and ‘rithmetic--have long been considered the heart of education. It seems that social studies might be left out of this equation, but nothing could be further from the truth. Social studies courses provide the perfect backdrop for students to hone their literacy skills. In this workshop, attendees will focus on the importance of reading and writing in all the social studies courses. Teachers will leave the session with a wealth of practical ideas and strategies to incorporate both reading and writing activities in their classrooms.
