Purposeful Play in Early Childhood Classrooms




Fred Rogers said it best when he said, "For children, play is serious learning. Play is really the work of childhood." Knowing that, how can we use play as an instructional tool and use it to create meaningful learning opportunities for students? In this session we will dive into play. Participants will consider purposefully crafting play as an instructional tool, design opportunities to include play in the classroom, and discuss ways to use data gathered from children's play.
