Trainings: Session Detail

Supporting Sensory Needs and Sensitivities in the Home and Community

Children with disabilities may respond to sensory stimulation in various ways; some may seek out “bigger” sensory feelings while others may avoid or react negatively to certain types of sensory exposure. Participants will learn the various senses involved with sensory input, understand the difference between hypersensitivity and hyposensitivity, and ways to support their children’s individual needs.
