Trainings: Session Detail

The Balance of Special Education Funding
MOE Compliance

In the world of Special Education funding the MOE cycle, exceptions, SHARS reimbursement, 55% program spending, CEIS/CCEIS, can all seem OVERWHELMING, and even confusing at times.

In this session, will you learn a methodical approach to MOE and strategies to maintain compliance while managing the threshold. You can also expect to engage in an  interactive discussion on topics such as:

  • Changes to SHARS revenue and how that could potentially impact MOE
  • How to track and document exceptions
  • How to leverage exceptions to manage the district’s required spending
  • The connection between the 55% program spending requirement and MOE
  • An opportunity for you to look at your own MOE journey and which strategies you should explore
