Supporting Individuals with Complex Needs on Job Sites
Share
Students with Special Education needs receive job coaching and job supports in their job exploration course work while they are in school. Those with more complex needs often remain in school-supported training programs past the age of 18. As job coaches and employment trainers, what supports do we need to consider for our students who are on job sites? How can we help our students build independence and self-advocacy skills in their work? We will investigate various support strategies and apply those to actual work environments.
